a little tool to test & extract zips made by XmUrF (xmurf@urbanet.ch) get the latest version at http://www.home.ch/~spaw1185/mass/ => disclaimer I'm NOT responsible for the harm it could do to your system. there is no delete function in this program nothing useless is written in the registry the version 092 has been tested but I'm sure that if you try hard you'll find a way to make it hang up.... (and your whole system with it) =>quick help(how duzit work ???): select a folder where there are *.zip files to test or extract click on test or extract =>version history v093 beta 2 fixed a bug with the start dir added unace , same comment as unrar. added some little features, like same dir for other controls corrected some bugs doevents in unace and unrar (but not enought for real multithread) looks like the unrar and unace dll do not handle error very well, but you should only use those modules if the unzip was errorless ... v093 beta 1 added "same dir". When this option is activated the browsing of the extract dir starts with the same dir as the source dir. added "start dir" when you exec the program manually you can start with your favorite archives directory. Leave it blank to start anywhere added an unrar module. Like the rest of the program it's not multitask. So don't panic if the program seems to hang Up, it's simply that a big rar file is being extracted. VB is not really multitask so soon or late i'll probably re-write the whole crap in a "real" language. v092 build 5 don't remember what I did, nevermind :)) v092 build 4 reversed the extract process in count files added a error report in count files added a control in setup. Now you must fill some blanks to be able to exit it v092: build c (3): fixed minor bug with count files (low case...) fixed a bug in count files (couldn't display a file if it was twice in the archive) added a boutton to launch the explorer in the extract folder v092: build b (2): fixed minor bug with "make dir" v092: cleaned code again added two hints double click on message opens the log in notepad double click on the nfo windows opens the nfo in notepad v091: count files works now but it's still beta: you have to be in test mode + having redundant zip files names (abcXX.zip) in the folder o save position o when launched from shell, close o allow cancel (keep clicking I didn't want to slow down the whole process :) I've tested the extract and test feature they still work fine. v090 there are some option avaible o registry links (see pictures) o settings saving o file counting (BETA) v05 First version with the unzip.dll v01 a pkunzip and unrar (dos) front end =>troubleshooting: all feature are working but I still wait for your bug report this tool can extract individual zip but most "winzips" have more option mail me for bug report thx. If the error is a text, cut'n paste it in the mail. If the error is a message box take a screenshot (printscreen key and paste) check if the Unzip32.dll is in then c:\windows\system folder check if the VB6 runtimes Vbrun60.exe are installed check if commond dialog "Comdlg32.ocx" is in the c:\windows\system folder by the way: it looks like that if you leave all files in mass folder everything works fine too. =>copyright: looks like the library used is free and i can't ask money for 10 pages of code... but: The source code (I mean the part I wrote myself) is my creation and therefor I can say it's copyrighted. Source code (vb 5-6) avaible on demand. You can change and (or) enhance anything so long it remains free. I'm NOT the autor of the unzip dll I'm NOT the autor of the registry access module I'm NOT the autor of the unrar and unace module =>to do: an install sequence (my installer is buggy, don't try to understand) finding a the api that opens "program files" removing the "cmdialog" ocx and using windows dll instead cleaning code again...(done v092) debug (hope there aren't too much) =>backgrounds: everytimes i was unzipping "abcdXX.zip" archives on my computer with pkunzip i thought that it would be great to have a tool being able to do such task =>credits: using zipinfo zip library. http://www.cdrom.com/pub/infozip registry acces where made using the api documentation found on http://mvps.org/vbnet/ unrar and unace modules are the (great) work of Leigh Bowers, http://www.esheep.freeserve.co.uk/compulsion
