Default values listed for all entries in common sections:

Important here - there are differences between common sections and the short notation sections Boxes and Images. These distinctions are very often sources of trouble and misunderstandings.

You should never use the same .png file in common sections and [Boxes]/[Images] together - then the .png have always the settings and defaults from the place where it was first loaded - it is impossible then to change something in the other places. So I strongly suggest to use always separate copies of a .png (or with other words: never use a .png twice ore more times). See the complications mentioned as note1 and note2 for the Checkbox skin...

Note that the defaults for entries inside the Special sections Info, Options and Generic are mentioned only there. Note also the Notation in Boxes and Images.

• Padding: default if no entry is 2 in common sections, but 0 in [Boxes] and [Images]


• Margin: default if no entry is 0, and 0 too in [Boxes] and [Images]


• Spacing: default if no entry is 0
  Also the general entry `Button text padding = 0` in [Options] affects spacing


• Color: default if no entry is No color


• Colorize: default if no entry is 1 in common sections, but 0 in [Boxes] and [Images]


• Border: default if no entry is No border
  Border color: default if no entry is Black


• Text color: priority normally; Button skin - Toolbar skin - Base skin - a text color from the OS (with exceptions)


• Text bold: default if no entry is 0


• Text underline: default if no entry is 0


• Text shadow: default if no entry is No text shadow
  Text shadow color: default if no entry is Black


• Text zoom: default if no entry is 0


• Blend: default if no entry is 100


• Child: default if no entry is No child


• Clone: default if no entry is Nothing cloned


• Width: default if no entry is No specific width
  Height: default if no entry is No specific height


• Scalable: default if no entry is 0 in common sections, but 1 in [Boxes] and [Images]


• ;xyz / #xyz: ignored line or comment
