Weathered Killer Dome

The first Killer Dome I bought was a dud - the gearbox didn't work. So I had to buy another one, which left me with a spare to finally practice some weathering techniques on. I filled the panel lines with a Rothring Rapidograph pen and wiped off some of the ink to create a more weathered look similar to an ink wash. Then a few weeks later I went back and added some more weathering effects with one of Tamiya's Weathering Master sets.

I'm pretty pleased with how this came out, and I'll probably be doing more of this kind of thing on Zoids I build in the future as I think it adds a ton of realism and gives the Zoid more of a "model" as opposed to a "toy" feel.
