Creating an Army
By clicking on Create an Army, an extra line appears above the hangar, to which you may add your units, either by right-clicking on the spaces, or by dragging. Right clicking enables you to go beyond the number of columns shown. The number of columns you have is determined in File - Configuration, notice that you can drag units to the "Army #Number" space once a line is filled and MekWars will create another line below which will belong to the same army. Some servers enable units to be put in more than one army, others set a limit to it.
As units get added, the total BV of the army increases. Some servers make use of the new Force Size Modifier variable, to check out what is your BV against armies of another size, right click on "Army #Number" space and set which army size your force is expected to battle against. This menu also gives the possibility to "Lock" the army, meaning that upon clicking "Remove All Armies", this one will be kept. The option to "Disable" an army, means it wonīt count while a player is in active duty, thus not being able to defend or initiate attacks. A player canīt go active if all its armies are disabled.
On Main Channel there will also appear messages informing which Operations your army gained/lost access to. Notice this means only access as Attacker. Most servers use the same requirements for Defenders but this is not a must. Right Clicking on the "Army#Number" also shows the Check Access option, which enables you to know why a given army is able or not to use an specific operation. Now it is time to find a game.
