Russian Van Gogh Vladimir Dolgov
Vladimir Dolgov was born an atmosphere of
Aries, in 1953, 100 years after the birth of Van Gogh.These two conditions are
determining in life of the painter. The fire of Aries and phantom of Van Gogh
ignite palette of "The Russian Van Gogh" at the end XX centuries. In
1998 "The Petrovsky courier" (the newspaper) wrote about the painter:
"The style of this master is referred to by art critics as an intellectual
expression. Vladimir is a true Russian painter. He opens the mysterious world,
which "The Russian Soul" refers to. The color of Aries is red which
is beautiful and heartfelt in Russian". These words of Van Gogh are close
to him: " We, artists of a modern society are only broken vessels ".
1971 –1979
Vladimir graduated from Petersburg
Architectural College and the Art faculty of Pedagogical University in
Saint-Petersburg. He was a participant of underground exhibitions. He taught
painting in art colleges and schools of Saint-Petersburg.
1979 – 2000
He is becoming well known. Five museums of the former USSR have bought his pictures. 129 of his pictures have been purchase by the inhabitant of the USA – V.?. Smolkin. 30 pictures were purchased by Doctor Iochim Muller from Trier in Germany. 10 Masterpieces were bought by Madam Vicky Zaltsman from Toronto in Canada. Madam Monika Link, representative of the optical firm "Carl Zeiss" Germany has ordered a portrait . Vladimir’s pictures were displayed together with the pictures of the famous Russian artists of the XIX - XX centuries such as: Benois, Lancere, and Serebrjakowa. Since 1973 till 2000, "Russian Van Gogh" painted about 6000 pictures. Now, Vladimir Dolgov is 50 years old. He lives and works in Saint-Petersburg.

Русский Ван-Гог
Владимир Долгов родился под знаком Овна в 1953 году, ровно через 100 лет после рождения Ван-Гога. Эти два обстоятельства – определяющие в жизни художника. Огонь Овна и фантом Ван-Гога зажег палитру “Русского Ван-Гога” конца XX века. Газета “Петровский курьер” писала в 1998г. о живописце: “Стиль мастера искусствоведы называют интеллектуальным экспрессионизмом. Владимир – очень русский живописец. Он открывает таинственный мир, который называется “Русская душа”. Цвет Овна – красный. По-русски, значит – красивый, душевный”. Труден и трагичен путь “Русского Ван-Гога”. Ему близки слова Ван-Гога: “Мы, художники современного общества, только разбитые сосуды”.
1971 –1979 годы.
Владимир закончил Петербургский Архитектурный колледж и Художественный факультет Педагогического Университета. Дипломная работа по искусствоведению: “Картины Ван-Гога в музеях Москвы и Эрмитаже”. Участник выставок андеграунда. Преподает живопись в художественных колледжах Санкт-Петербурга.
1989 – 2000 годы.
Приходит популярность. Пять музеев бывшего СССР покупают его картины. 129 картин покупает житель США – В.Е. Смолкин.30 картин покупает доктор Iochim Muller , город Трир, Германия. 10 шедевров покупает госпожа Vicky Zaltsman, Торонто, Канада. Госпожа Моника Линк, представитель оптической фирмы “Carl Zeiss”, Германия, заказывает свой портрет. Картины Владимира экспонировались вместе с картинами знаменитых русских художников XIX – XX веков: Бенуа, Лансере, Серебряковой.С 1973г. по 2000г. “Русским Ван-Гогом” написано около 6000 картин.
