> iWapper 2.0 RSS
THHdesign today took wraps off «iWapper 2.0 RSS» that allows everyone to set up their own WAP server on any Mac OS X 10.3 system in no time. WAP (wireless application protocol) sites are a special kind of websites (in XML/WML format) that can be displayed on many cell phones (works best with GPRS/3G UMTS). Until today, setting up a proprietary WAP server has been a big fuss and tools to set up WAP web pages are extremely rare. But now there is help: iWapper can do it all for you -- and even for free (or for a tiny fee, if you want to remove an "powered by iWapper" link on the bottom of every generated page)! iWapper can generate WAP sites for you; not only you can use text styles, text sizes, images and place links (even download links, email links and phone call links are possible!); iWapper can also store clips from real-world www-webpages in an intelligent way, so that it can update dynamic content automatically and put it into WAP files. New iWapper 2.0 release adds support for RSS news feeds and dynamic text file updates and comes with a bunch of new features. Moreover, iWapper generates an automatic WAP index page for you -- easy and fast!
> Functions of iWapper
• intelligent storing of news pages, so that their content can be updated
automatically
• support of RSS news feeds with automatic updating
• dynamically updated text file-to-WAP conversion
(check system dump files of your server via WAP!)
• static memo WAP pages that can contain text styles, text sizes, images
and
links, including links to other WAP pages, links to files, email links
and phone call links
(you can even make your own ringtone download page like that!)
• automatic update function (you choose how often you want your
WAP site to be updated)
• possibility to set your company logo or any other image onto every WAP
page
• option to compact generated WAP pages to suit them better for mobile use
• automatic index function that lists all WAP pages automatically
• automatic setup of your Apache webserver so that it is enabled to
serve WAP pages
• included small webbrowser (called «iBrowser») and combined
RSS reader
You choose yourself whether you want iWapper to be Freeware or Shareware; the freeware version has all the same functions of the shareware one, but puts a "powered by iWapper" link on the bottom of every generated WAP page.
> Freeware (with an "powered by iWapper" link
on each generated page)
> Shareware USD 15.-- (removes "powered by iWapper" link on each
page)
