BARKING N’ BITING ....
Swampdogs second album, Barking n’ Biting is already well underway, with all-new material from Barking blues and country-folk to a biting rock-opera “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing”, reminiscent of the Rolling Stones, that deals with two old people just skipping all the foreplay and games and just getting down to some love groove.... He’s doing the biting while she’s doing the barking..... Owwwouwwwww!
BASEBALL SONGS ....
We also have a side project running to write and record songs about baseball. “Beantown” is a folk-oriented song about a guy who is looking for his family roots in Ireland at the same time the Red Sox finally beat the curse of the Bambino and hit it out of the ground against the Yankees. The song examines the emotions of being far from home, has a very Irish folk feel to it, and even finishes with Iain getting a “blaw” on his bagpipes.... Way to Go!
“Cards” is all about reminiscing boyhood fantasies of being out on the field with the big guys, and as a boy collecting the cards of the heroes in a sticker album.
